Rift Hound - Maroni's Restaurant Joshua's heart was racing, but it seemed that through some miracle he hadn't been spotted. He could try his luck again and try to get out? He had a pretty good layout of the restaurant and had gotten a good look at the hostage takers, so maybe he could help the cops when they turned up? Then again, if was caught trying to escape they might shoot at him and hit a hostage when the bullet phased through! His best bet right now seemed to be staying put. It was during this time that Joshua watched the armed men run up the stairs. Apparently there was somebody putting up a fight, but there was nothing he could do to help him. If only he had a weapon... But he'd still be outnumbered. Maybe he could thin their numbers? But with what, there wasn't anything that useful in his Pock- My Pocket!, the thought struck his mind like lightning. He could open his Pocket under their feet and trap them! It would have to be one at a time, though, otherwise he risked trapping a hostage as well. But could anything survive in his Pocket?! He'd never placed anything living inside before! And he'd need to be tangible! Perhaps if he waited for the hostage negotiators to draw their attention, he'd have a better chance of catching them off-guard? But the other problem was if he was willing to risk killing people to save others! These people certainly weren't hesitating, judging by the corpses of the guards on the floor, but did that mean he had to sink to their level?! Joshua retrieved his physical form and closed his Pocket so he could at least sit comfortably. He'd have to wait and see when the police arrived. If he acted impatiently now, hostages could die. He'd just have to hope he reacted appropriately when the time came...
