Duck, baby, if a fleet of warships that maybe constitutes to, idunno, several dozen ships, all fire at once with every single weapon, three measly ships can't be THAT strong enough to shrug them all off.

I mean that many ships firing could amount to thousands of slugs, torpedos, missiles, plasma bursts, etc. which really [i]should[/i] be able to do more than shield wear and minor hull damage, your ships can't be [i]that[/i] invincible.
