Jerus spun around when he heard the sound of metal on metal and barely ducked in time to avoid a slash from the reaper's scythe that was aimed at Koran. Hearing the man with the knife blaming everyone else for the attack, he growls. "We are in Hell, you fool. Moving or not, we're likely to have SOMETHING try and kill us." Lunging under the scythe, he swings his katana at the reaper's midriff, but only gets robes. In order to avoid retaliation, he had to leap forward and come up from a combat roll, his katana held at the ready. "How scrawny do you think this guy is?" Another slice, this time aimed at him, forced him to duck once more and then back flip away. Jerus realized that because of the long strike range of the scythe, it would be difficult for anyone with a melee weapon to close and do damage, not without coordinated team effort.
