The Darkness watched as one of the members of the group walked towards him while two more entered the store. The one closest to him reached out to touch the darkness surrounding him, though he was a good two feet away. He wasn't sure if he should reveal himself or not. The Darkness thought about the odds in case they decided to attack him. The other three were too far away to reach with his darkness, but the one closest to him wasn't. He didn't want to kill anyone just yet.

The Darkness covered the closest one in darkness up to halfway up the chest and revealed himself. Standing up and gripping on to the hammer, he used the vessels voice to speak.

"If you all promise not to attack, I'll let this one go. If I cover him in darkness, he's gone."

(Btw you can still move out of the darkness and do whatever, but he's kinda counting on the fact that they don't know that)
