Sitting up high with the others Chris looked down at the restaurant below them caked in ice to entrap all those within. She couldn’t see much of what was going on inside from this distance apart from a few moving dark patches on the other side of the frozen glass. With a gasp and a flinch the sounds of screaming and gun shots struck her ears from the encased restaurant but with gritted teeth Chris forced the sickening churn of her stomach to the back of her mind, she had to stay focussed on the task at hand and help get the survivors out of there unharmed. Pariah was, of course, a brilliant strategist as the two training session Chris had been in had proven to her as well as the numerous reports on his own heroic escapades so she felt in good hands knowing he’d be the one giving orders. Trying to distract herself from her heart trying to wrench itself from her ribcage Chris glanced over some of the new recruits that had joined them noting the looks of unease or big-headed cockiness they possessed. “You ready for this?” She directed the question with a reassuring but wavering smile to a tall man with fins on his head. Ocean Warrior no doubt.
