Okay, well your plans sound pretty organized to me and I see no reason why such a scenario wouldn’t happen. I see now why you were so adamant on knowing all the details lol. ;p 

Oh, and yeah, there are a core 7 that are the Archangels. There might have been some other Archangels to survive the War and join the Council but later come to oppose them and cause the C. to petrify them like they did with Lucien. Or, as you suggest, there might be those who disagree but don’t pose a direct thread either, allowing them to live relatively hassle-free. So, anyway, in the end there were the 7 (prior and during to S1) which make up the core of the Council. There are others that are just regular angels (who are called Seraphs) who might or might not have up to 6 wings. Those Seraphs usually have some recollection of some past lives but aren’t all out Archangels yet. And there are the rest of the angels, as during S1 pretty much every angel was serving the Council in one capacity or another. So yeah, there is some fluency around the outer circles of more mortal angels and there’s always the core 7. However by the end of S1 3 or 4 of those were exterminated (thanks Yoshu, Rtron (and myself)) and the rest were trapped by Hazumi/the Essence. So currently there might be up to 4 Archangels alive and they’re either within Hazumi or within the Instruments OR dead/dying (up to Rtron). 

Oh, and yeah, it only started when they settled onto the Surface. And some, as Lucien, would even claim they weren't protecting, but controlling them. We're still looking for the truth. ;) BUT, it is a fact that killing humans was a pretty big taboo (unless it was "necessary") so for the most part humans viewed them as their allies.

Sorry to respond so late, Cypher, it's just I don't have too much time at all recently. It's absolutely alright to have a demonic dog (it would be more like a demon shapeshifter anyways since demons here aren't always humanoid) as long as you find a reason for the demon to want to obey the human rather than eat them (as demons normally do). 

As for the reason I haven't revised your suggested spell-list yet, it's because last I checked you said you hadn't addapted it to this universe's main rules of essence and the sorts? I just wanted to make sure you've read up a bit of the OOC and tried to adapt it before I jump to correct you in case you make any mistakes. I just don't have the time to do that, to be honest, and I would like you to be accustomed to the universe before trying to jump into it. 

As for acquiring any spells IC, you really don't have to worry about that. As long as you play fair, there's no problem with starting off strong, as that's what all of us are doing anyway. Of course, it's up to you if you want to upgrade your chara IC but I'm just saying you shouldn't worry about that. :)
