"I need not respect you nor tell you more than I choose to. If you can't tell me where the gypsies are then you are no use to me and I shall find them on my own," He said sharply before starting to walk past Alari, "Go on about your false sense of peace and leave me and my comrades to our duties. No human guards are of any use to us as their punishments are not nearly severe enough to matter to our kind," he said shortly. They had once allowed humans to deal with one of theirs when he had committed a crime, but the gypsy had merely laughed it off as if it had been a joke all along and didn't realize that it had been actual punishment from the elders. Now they distributed punishments of the severest kind by their own hands. If he found the siblings guilty he would bind them with cuffs that were covered in runes that disrupted their connections to their elements and eliminated half their ability to fight back before they would be branded for the crime, usually somewhere that was visible or would allow the pain last a long time. After that they would flog them using weapons that tended to tear meat from bone if it hooked on just about right. No it wouldn't kill them, but they would be writhing in pain and unable to function for a long time, along with the permanent mental and physical scars. Their elders had found the punishment much more fitting for their people. Sometimes the sanity of the elders was questioned, especially with punishments so brutal, as they were some of the oldest members of the camps, but no one dared to question them aloud as some other severe punishment would be doled out in return. Raina yanked the door open, giving him an evil kind of glare, "She heard you, calm the hell down," she growled, "She's trying to check," she thumbed to Mary, sitting in the middle of the floor. As soon as Kaori had said something was wrong with Alari, she had gone in to that state, trying to reach out to him. It was hard to focus, however, when he was banging and yelling, hence Raina's abrupt and snappy opening. Once it was quiet, she was able to focus clearly and Alari would probably feel her touching in to his mind, Alari? What's wrong? Kaori's quite upset about something. She was trying to look through his eyes but couldn't see very well, Hold on, I'm going to try something. After a minute of silence a translucent version of Mary appeared next to Alari, though she was squinting as it was really hurting her head to focus like this. She looked around, trying to see what was going on and gasped seeing the man, though only Alari would hear it in his head, That's our uncle. What's he doing here?
