Her talk with Connor had improved things, but she was still feeling like the ground under her feet was eroding slowly. That, and she hadn't gotten her sword back. Even though she hadn't owned it for long, her back felt naked without it. She missed the comforting weight of the scabbard and steel on her back. -- Devika wandered in behind the boys, and could feel Flood's anger rolling off of him. She'd mistaken it for Nicholas' anger. After catching the statement about Anthony Luthor, she spoke up in passing. "Not quite right. Close, though. Anthony restrained his emotions. They were there- compartmentalized and controlled, but I could still feel them. Nicholas..." She frowned and dropped her voice so it wouldn't carry. "It's like nothing is there at all. Kind of creeps the hell out of me." With that, she headed up to a seat away from both boys.
