Jerus refrained from getting between Koran and mister insane-o, hoping beyond everything that he would stab him in the face or something gratifying. He wouldn't do anything of course, he knew far too little about how everything here in Hell worked and he wanted to be sure that they would have time to get distance between them before the person revived or regenerated or whatever happened. Instead he watched Mason walk off on his own into the distance, wondering what could be drawing him there but deciding it was better to let the man be and go to his own thing.
