I love the looks of this but there are a couple of things I should say: 1) This would be my first advanced RP, so apologies if I'm a bit of a nuisance at first, and 2) In about a months time you can expect my activity to drop.
Name: Blake Perry (Some who work with him also call him ‘Red’) Appearance: He stands at around 6ft1 and is of stocky build. Although he has some muscular definition and is above average strength, years of malnutrition have prevented him from retaining anything near an impressive physique. His hair and facial hair is near identical to the picture. Estimated Age: Very late 30s or (most likely) early 40s Weapons: M16a4 assault rifle, a crossbow and a solid truncheon (as standard). He carries a riot shield that he scavenged off a corpse despite the fact it tends to keep him a bit encumbered. He also wears a riot helmet which had been sprayed red (which led to his nickname). Personality: Whilst perhaps not always the friendliest of people Blake is normally polite and is unlikely to get aggressive or spiteful unless provoked. He is not the type of person who says much in relation to personal matters and rarely gives personal advice – however when it comes to work he is the opposite and will constantly voice his opinions. He is good in high-pressure situations which in conjunction to his age has given reason for many of his colleagues to think of him as a leader. Brief Background: Blake was born in Barrowside, his parents belonging to the original group that decided to settle there. His mother died when he was very young due to natural illness and he had no siblings. His father Richard Perry died when Blake was around twenty and even to this day the elder residents of Barrowside remind Blake that his father was a great man… a better man than him. He received education both from teachers and his father and became perhaps one of the better educated of his generation and those that followed. The subject that interested him the most was probably history and he spent hours rereading the same pile of old ancient history books. As he entered his mid-late teens he joined Barrowside’s enforcers and appeared to have a natural knack for the job. His initially friendly nature began to ware over the years as Barrowside grew and control of the town shifted hands because he found there was more trouble and rule bending. As he entered his thirties he was forced to leave the enforcers after rubbing some level 1s and 2s the wrong way, for he sought to investigate corruption. One of the men he managed to really piss off was the man who was set to be his father-in-law and as a result ended up breaking up with his fiancé. For the last ten years he has been serving as a scout/scavenger as part of the exterior security force. His life has been relatively uneventful since then (other than fighting zombies and raiders of course) and the only time he gets any attention is when he’s lobbying for reform, something which has caused him to be labelled as an ‘idealist’ or ‘plain idiot’. The main reforms he has tried to push are: -The allocation of resources to establish external safe havens for both civilians and military alike. -For the enforcers to be externally regulated by a transparent body to ensure that they aren’t abusing their positions, mistreating civilians, or ignoring the crimes of their superiors. -For the military to adjust their tactics and arsenal. He believes it would be better for soldiers to be equipped with shields and melee weapons and to adopt the tactics of roman legions by using shield walls and the like. These reforms have been ignored for various reasons however, mainly because he holds no significant position and because of his pasts grievances when he was an enforcer. Misc: Scout/scavenger as part of the exterior security force. Lobbyist for reform. Level and category: 3A
