While good advice, I always found high school's work load to be pretty manageable. It's when I got to college that I got hammered with homework that I had no idea how the heck I was going to get completed.

But it is a good habit to not skip school, in general. The most important thing high school teaches you is to be accountable for your responsibilities and how to interact with people - especially the ones you don't like. It's kind of like training wheels for the real world.
