Natalie sat there the tears flowing down her cheeks unable to move but for a tiny barely seen nod of understanding. Although she couldn't really understand. She didn't want to, but she got up dusting herself off. She clears her throat five times before saying with a squeak, "Thank you. Your kindness is appreciated." She said her eyes red rimmed from the tears. She clears her throat again. "Excuse me. I...have to go home...tell the kids..." She says staring at nothing and starting her trek home on foot. She felt close to being numb. So walking would do her a whole world of good. She couldn't stay there any longer. It would do her more harm if she did. But every step felt like she was walking through quick sand, and wearing a weight on her ankles.
