[Prepare for a relatively long post.] Rema sat in her parents car, headphones in as she watched the trees and rivers pass by her. What sort of summer camp was this going to be anyway? Her aunt had told her parent about it, saying it would be good for her but she wasn't so keen. So she could build magical barrier things. It didn't make her weird. She could... mostly control it. Mostly... "Rema, look." Her mother called out, pointing in the direction of the sign for the camp. Rema smiled and nodded her head sarcastically. "Yay. Can't wait. You guys sure you're not just trying to get rid of me? Going on a hot date once you drop me off?" Rema asked, raising a brow at the reflection of her father in the rear view mirror. He chuckled and looked up at Rema to smile at her before returning his eyes to the road. "We'd be lying if we said no." Her dad responded, procuring a hit from her mother. "Chris!" She shouted, getting onto him. Rema could only laugh. Despite her sarcasm, she really did enjoy her parents. Which was probably why she was so against going to camp. She didn't want to be away from them. She was happy with them. These people? Who knew what they would be like. Soon, they were pulling into the camp and headed for her cabin. She held the key in her hands. It'd been sent to her earlier in the week so that she could get settled in. When the car stopped, she got out quickly, already turning to get to the truck that her dad was about to pop open. Without saying much, she pulled out a few of her bags and made way for the front door. As far as she knew, she didn't have a roommate which suited her just fine. With a steady hand, she unlocked the door and walked in, setting her bags on one of the open beds. She sighed as she heard her parents coming in with the rest of her things, including her bath supplies, her fan and other assorted things she thought she might need like a first aid kit and such. For the next hour or so, she spent her time putting things away with her parents help. While she was putting all the small things in place, her mom set up her bed and her dad set up the TV. They had no cable out here but she had some movies and a wii to play a few games. So, even if they didn't allow it, she was going to keep it anyway. She didn't know if she'd be able to survive without. Plus, if she made friends, they could have movie night and game night in her cabin. It sounded like a good idea anyway. Once everything was squared away, Rema said goodbye to her parents and went back into her cabin to look at everything. She felt like she needed to walk around outside, but that could be saved for later, right? For now, she might just stay and sit on her bed. Staring blankly at the walls of the cabin. Sighing, she shook her head and fell back against the bed, groaning. This was going to be irritating.
