Not really surprising. I never watched Shark Week, but seeing the program titles told me that it long stopped being about showing the world what sharks are actually like to educate people after Jaws caused the world to be terrified of sharks as murderous monsters. I mean, I saw that Megalodon special when I was at a hotel and it was every bit as bad as that Ancient Alien shit. Shark Week is less about preserving an endangered and misunderstood animal than it is about ratings and hype.
