He kissed her again and Esme wasn't sure how she felt about that. On the one hand it felt wrong, but on the other he was her brother. Perhaps that was just his way of expressing affection. She wasn't going to say anything to him though. She didn't want to upset him. Outside there were still people milling around. Some were watching the show, others were enjoying the different booths and activities. Esme heard the laugh of the crazy clown girl she had seen before and tightened her hold on Hag's hand. The clown unnerved her. But then again clowns always had unnerved her. He had said to stay away from Vol. Esme wondered briefly who Vol was before another worry came up in her mind. "Hag?" she asked. "What if they don't accept me? The others I mean. Will they mind that I am your sister and a ghost?" People were already watching them, intrigued by both the man in the mask and the girl at his side. All her life she had always stayed away from people, away from their judging and condemning eyes, away from all the name-calling and bullying for being different. Now, having people's attention on her made her uncomfortable.
