JACK ORPHEUS | In the Forever Fall The trees and the grass were a dusty red, all around he could only see red, and him wearing blue in the midst of it... Well, he most certainly stood out, which was the opposite of the reason he wore this coat in the first place. He might have to consider buying different coloured versions for different missions. Eventually he spotted an unnatural formation, one that was made purposely. As he neared it, he was guessing that this was where the train tracks were... Though there was no train, for now, he remembers being warned about a train. He simply looked around a bit, and then proceeded back into the forest surrounding it. The Forever Fall was a beautiful place to be sure, but all this red felt ominous to him. Only when he started walking through it did he begin to appreciate it, but also feel for it. He was a city boy in the end though, a pretty place like this only served to make a good place to take pictures and hang up somewhere nice an apartment. "Hmmm... I kind of went down a zip line late. I wonder if everyone's found a partner already...", he thought to himself. After what seemed to be a minute, he heard the rustling of leaves behind him, only getting heavier and heavier. As he turned the rustling turned into a sprint, and he could feel the ground shake with every thud. By the time he had turned around completely, the Ursa was already upon him. But their slow speed allowed him plenty of time to escape, splitting into a wisp of lightning. Almost immediately, the flash of a blade went right along the side of the Ursa, halting it in it's tracks. Jack didn't relent, flashing right through again a couple times, in a similar fashion to the one he slew earlier. "Almost forgot... They attacked in pairs. This one must've been friends with the other...", he assessed, throwing his dagger a short distance into the air and catching it, just playing with it. "I wonder if I'll see an Ursa Major. I hear they've been seen a lot lately here in the Forever Fall". "Rawr" Jack turned to the source of the noise. It was an Ursa, albeit much larger, and had a much more grotesque collection of white shells. By most accounts, this would be an Ursa Major. The giant bear Grimm didn't waste time to swing it's claws at him, but Jack was quick enough to avoid that, doing an impressive backflip into a jump. By the time the claw ended the swing, Jack was already above it. "Speak of the goddamn devil eh?", the Ursa Major swung the back of it's hand into the air to intercept him, but he was still a step ahead. Leaving behind only a slight bit of shadowy electricity, he appeared crouched on the ground in an instant. Blades drawn he turned into a flash and ran a couple runs around the sides of the Ursa Major, but eventually he had to retreat. After a few flails, the the bear's claws almost got him. "Smart, and pretty sturdy. Also pretty strong", it was as expected, though he wasn't going to survive a single strike from this arms. He wasn't that type. So his best interest was to just avoid it entirely. "Could probably out-run it though", and with very little hesitation... He dashed right for it. The Ursa Major hurled what seemed to be some rocks, but those were easy enough to avoid, dashing side to side in a zig-zag before making a long-dash to the top of the Grimm's head, and jumping off it and then simply continuing on. Immediately it gave chase. He was easily fast enough to out-run it and lose it, but what fun would that be? "Now to run this into someone with a bit more power than me...", he smiled. Dashing from branch to branch, the Ursa Major just powering through the bushes and between trees.
