“This has to be Giratina”, Whitney muttered. Nonon could say anything she wanted about how Pokémon were just a video game. Seriously, firstly the distortion everywhere and then an order to hunt down the legendary dragon. And Giratina was one, though there were others as well. Zekrom, Reshiram, Kyurem, Rayquaza, what else? Whitney didn’t come to think that it made little to no sense from Giratina to order people to hunt himself, unless he was controlled by someone. Whitney took their mission surprisingly calmly. Hunting down a legendary dragon meant a concrete enemy, something her Pokémon could fight against. Especially when legendary dragons which Whitney knew rarely ever killed people. Plus, if anyone could somehow create a Master Ball, the mission would be incredibly easy. And even if anyone couldn’t, one could usually beat legends with a strong but compassionate heart and brute force, or that’s how it seemed to be from what she had heard. Felt in example could likely do that. And Whitney as well, at least in her book. One could ask how strong and compassionate her heart was. Oblivious to the fact that legendary dragon might be something else than Pokémon, Whitney adored the meadow. It was like straight out from a painting. The sky was so blue that it felt unnatural, the mountains were so perfectly dreamy-like that they couldn’t be true. The clear river bubbled happily and Whitney let her team to drink from it as she started to craft an anadem for herself and her team. They would look so adorable! “zzr-zrz”, Whitney’s Pokégear made a sound on her hand. She realised that she had forgotten radio on for the whole time, but there hasn’t obliviously been a radio there earlier so it hadn’t attracted her attention. She adjusted the frequency a bit, hoping to catch a clearer signal. “... zz-r ther-zz ple-zrz-e respond.” And then the signal stopped. Whitney raised her eyebrows and wondered what that was about. Likely the sender had asked her to response, but Pokégear didn’t actually do that, at least based on Whitney’s knowledge. It could just receive radio signals, not to send them. The girl let radio on just in case she would be messaged again. That’s when she realised that others around her were already planning what to do with the mission. “Um, you catch a dragon with Poké ball? Though I don’t have them with me”, Whitney said before she realised that what Vash meant by a legendary dragon was completely different from what she meant. “Well, only if our legendary dragon is a Pokémon. Otherwise we could maybe freeze it. Half of my team knows an ice-type move and the dragons which I know don’t like ice. Chains… Last time someone tried to control a legendary dragon with chains, or actually with one red chain, he failed but I don’t recall why. Or that’s what I heard from Lance who heard it from Cynthia.” The girl tried to look away from Ghost rider. His eyes were creepy. As she made a mistake and looked them a bit longer, she started to instantly think how she had been cruel to Bugsy when she had refused to play with him. He just wanted to have a friend but Whitney had pushed him away simply because he happened to like bugs. His teary face returned to her mind and Whitney promised herself that she would be nicer to him in the future.
