John shook his head but didn't argue with Alyssa. "Just be careful and stay next to me," he said. Tanya hadn't texted back and he assumed she wasn't going to. He had to assume she wasn't coming. It was times like this that he wished he had other weapons. He grabbed Alyssa's hand and started running into the school and down the halls. He didn't have much of a plan but he'd think of something.
