Carmen looked at Matt, who apparently could fly but not speak simultaneously. Before she could respond, Lily threw out a not at all veiled flattering compliment. [b]"Oh, [i]stop[/i] it, you're too kind,"[/b] she said with a flash of her wings and head movement that could be described only as the most overdramatic action a bird has ever done - you could clearly tell the bird was Carmen. She tried to nudge Lily but to (humorously) no avail due to her gaseous state. She had to wonder what that felt like, though.

Turning to Matt, she replied [b]"I could ask you the same thing"[/b] with a smirk to the decidedly normal-looking teen.

[b]"I'm a skylark,"[/b] she explained to both of them, fluttering her wings. [b]"Not just a siren...that would be [i]far[/i] too ordinary, you know."[/b] Turning to focus on Matt again, she added, [b]"So what are [i]you[/i], then?[/i]
