Not able to sleep a wink since yesterday she was lost in perpetual thought when Acerbus appeared underneath the cave entrance in compact form, even nearing his Twilight years his features were regal and confident. Every wrinkle present on his creased face gave him a look of distinction. Ivory fibers were spread throughout chestnut colored strands reaching past his elbows and even along his full beard ever apparent in the sun’s rays. "Vesperia.” His voice softly called out to the woman staring into the rocky azure abyss below her feet. “It is time for the festival. Surely you do not wish to be late." His head tilted to the side as he inquired with a maternal smile. He would not be attending this festival of ageing and had not shown up to dragon tribe celebrations in centuries. In fact, it had been eons since he had even ventured far from this cave. Each day the timeworn dragon grew weaker and rested what little energy was left in case of imposing threats. They had not discussed his inevitable death or what would become of her after his passing. As for necessities she would want for nothing since his boundless treasure and the massive hide-a-way would be left for her. Even though many dragons cherish these things she'd feel ever so lonely and would not know how to spend her days without his company. He chucked to himself knowing exactly what she was thinking during the silence. ”Come now, there will be time for discussion in due time.” Acerbus comforted and each word managed to subside a bit of her worry while rising to walk over to him. "Alright." She nodded in agreement. ”You have always been so kind to me. Thank you Acerbus.” They exchanged a heartfelt hug before she headed inside to gather her gifts of impressive gems. She did not bring enough for every dragon as these were precious and archaic so only potential long term friends would receive them. --- A menacing form took flight and soared through chilly air, which passed through many open spaces along her frayed wings. It was a mystery how they managed to keep her adrift but she was quite good at flying none-the-less. Neon violet glowed along her spiked neck and toward the tips of her wings. At night one could mistake her for a shooting star since the rest of her body seamlessly blended into the black cosmic speckled sky. As the location drew nearer her hydra like body lowed completely until her compact feet touched upon the soil. In her dragon form she felt most venerable and always transformed whenever possible. It would be a long stroll to reach the others but this was the way it had to be she thought wearily. This whole ordeal posed extremely nerve racking as she was quite shy but would have to come out of her shell, and introduce herself to others eventually. Hands were shaking while not knowing what to expect and she even halted a few time in mid-step, wanting to return back home. --- After much inner turmoil and pep talks a light sigh escaped before inhaling deeply to gain further courage. Bare feet timidly crossed over the protective barrier as she set a finger on her bottom lip in nervousness, her shoulder still toting a black velvet bag with priceless gifts inside. As she strolled closer the bottom of her strapless dress trailed behind beautifully like a wedding train. The silk hue matched the violet flecks in her eyes. Just like her egg had been, her eyes retained black irises with glimmering amethyst. She was unable to don a veil to cover her large horns since the wind had been relentless. She twirled a lock of platinum hair around her index finger and scanned the area of full grown dragons in and out of their magnificent forms. She saw ones with lengthy slender horns and others with round shaped tails, every creature unique and fascinating in their own way.
