Nadeline groaned, sitting up and rubbing her head. Emiri had hit her like a ton of bricks. She let out a gasp as Mateus converged on them, but with Wesley's timely arrival, it was pushed back. She let out a sigh of relief, then looked at Emiri. She seemed dazed, so to speak--Nadeline was sure that the Blizzaga was a critical hit.Of course it also hit her already wounded shoulder, no doubt she was in a lot of pain. As Jaakuna cast his Curaga over Emiri's shoulder, She asked her, "Emiri? Emiri, can you hear me?" Emiri let out an irritated groan of her own as she threw her head back. That wasn't a good sign at all. Still, the girl forced herself to stand, wobbling from side to side as she stood up. "Stay here." Nadeline ordered Emiri, brandishing her own blade. She ran forward, concentrating intently. A white glyph appeared beneath Mateus, and at that point, Nadeline pointed her sword at the Esper. "Holy!" The brilliant white light converged onto Mateus, greatly damaging it. Meanwhile, Emiri lagged behind, her sword still in hand but not quite at the ready. That Blizzaga had gotten the best of her, and as much as she didn't want to admit it, she was in a world of pain. She thought Jaakuna's Curaga would help, but it seemed her exhaustion had caught up to her.
