Ilham was in the cafeteria, using the time he had left on his break to read. The alarm signaling an intruder was in the base started sounding, so he simply continued what he was doing, since his protocol was to not move from where he was at. He got his ID card out in case security came in and needed to check it, and put his book down to focus on the windows on the door of the room.
Eventually the situation seemed to calm down, as Ilham saw officers that minutes before were running to the situation now walking back. The alert had also stopped, but he would still be waiting in the cafeteria until alerted by a guard that it was all clear. Not that he would go elsewhere once he was free to go again, there was still time left on his break. A higher up also had a meeting planned that seemed to be delayed by the crisis, so he wanted to stay and see what that was about.
