Aoi belonged to a line of brave Hunters, considered as a holy bloodline among the Hunter society. Despite being called a holy bloodline, the secret of their success actually lies with the demonic assistance that members of the Akuma family has. His bloodline is cursed with the Devil Bringer. While guaranteeing the user of the Devil Bringer to be doomed into hell, it allows them other ways of killing creatures. They are also binded to a devilish contract-- the family can only bore one child, and specifically of the male gender.

His family forced him to believe that the creatures are evil. As a result, he does not have a positive view of them.[/center]
