Have you ever seen a nature show where some animal is taken down by predators and while still alive disemboweled? They don't scream out most of the time, in fact they appear numb to the final process. Some have suggested that this is because their bodies release enormous amounts of Endorphins which stone the animal out like a massive dose of Morphine.
