Name: [UKNOWN] Alias: Chimera Gender: Male Species: Human/AI/Vandrell Appearance: [IMG=http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/310/f/4/f47bb5e460e4351bb0d4b0426d399494-d4p81qq.jpg] Age: Biologically - Mid Thirties Role: Operator Equipment: Assegai Ind. 10mm Autopistol, Anti personal Rounds: For personal defense, only in critical situations where his own life is threatened. Chimera never has actually fired it in a firing range, nor does he have any training with it whatsoever, claiming to have run over four thousand simulations and forty-seven actuals with the weapon, and that he has more than enough of a 'theoretical' understanding of how the weapon works. Assisted Operations Enviro-Suit Platform: Necessary to prevent death due to system overload from three conflicting intelligences sharing the one frail body. It was his only posession, over than his pistol, that he had when he first approached the Raiders for employment. Besides keeping his vital systems stable, it acts as an extension to his processing components, massively reducing the time taken to act and respond to critical tactical data. Bio: Chimera is the result of several illegal cybernetic augmentation experiments to test both the malleability of organic minds to severe surgical trauma, and the elasticity of Vandrell synthetic uptake. The original experiments predating Chimera were undertaken by the SSA, though they are quick to elaborate that non-sentients were used for these experiments, and all usable data was discarded and destroyed when it proved to be cost ineffective. As such, much of Chimera's previous records are lost or fictionalized, and it has proven difficult to piece together an adequate biography of who he was before the incident. All that is known is that, at some point, an unknown party had successfully managed to forcefully integrate a Vandrell intelligence into a human, with the help of significant neural reconstruction and cybernetic hardware wiring, to create a 'perfect' processing unit: Human resilience and adaptability, Vandrell curiosity and intuition, and an artificial intelligence program for raw data processing and categorization of critical files. In the process, both the Vandrell and Human personalities were discovered to be completely unrecoverable, due to intensive psychological and physical shock on the organic platform, leaving only the physical structure of both entities purely as hardware. Instead, the researchers were left with a husk, a husk with only a single objective: Performing data analysis as fast as physically possible within the current constraint of universal physics. No information is pertaining as to how Chimera escaped his previous captors, but it is understood that he had been wandering the galaxy for some time after the event, unable to find purpose to his existence, or a worthy cause to give him motivation to continue living as he is, before coming into contact with Jason, on the verge of physical collapse and philosophical suicide. He has been a member of the Crimson Raiders for sometime now, acting primarily as both a trusted intelligence agent and effective electronic warfare platform. Very, very unapproachable outside of mission related situations.
