You know, shortly after the last Christmas special, I actually remember a lot of rumors floating around saying that Eleven would phone in from right before his regeneration. Thing is, though, all the rumors I heard said that he would be calling [i]his own future self[/i] which looking back on it really doesn't make a ton of sense, but at the time I sort of assumed it would be like a secondary "final scene" for Eleven, which I wasn't exactly ok with at the time since I was still getting over his initial departure.

I had kind of forgotten about all this when I went to watch the episode, but remembered again when Clara's phone ring and I was like "oooooh I know who it is...", but I didn't expect his call to be directed at Clara, convincing her to stay since he figured he'd still be lonely in the future (some things never change I suppose) and that he'd want someone by his side. I actually liked the way they did that a lot better than what the rumors implied would happen.

Actually I really liked the season 7.5 TARDIS interior. I don't see why they had to change it so quickly.

I looooove the new theme music and intro, though. I got really excited when I heard how much it sounded like the Classics (particularly McCoy's era), and I also love the visuals. Nice to see them try something other than the time vortex, for once.
