Oh yeah, he is waaaaaaay improved now. Before his throwing knives kind of just reset to neutral all the time, kind of throwing the opponent into the air. His Neutral Game is meant to be the best in the game, but even then he still loses matchups that he should have otherwise won. Now his auto-combo gives him advantage and okizeme opportunity, his new skill V Slash helps with it, since it lets him implement the air-to-ground low-hit with Persona and improve mixup potential. His dashing assault has two versions now that are more distinct. The A version will cause him to jump back (as opposed to just getting into the air above them with the old one), so you can use the A version, and if it's blocked, you can Moonsault backwards after the back-jump and get away to almost fullscreen. The B version will cause him to jump behind them automatically. Also his knives kind of just hitstun, so it doesn't send them into the air anymore, this is good, since you can keep them where you want them (which is not in the air). His mixup potential is vastly improved just form those, but other changes are to his Sukukaja. It gets a new, unique and cooler auto-combo that goes into his 150 special (use 50 for the Sukukaja, and burn 100 for the new SP skill). His A during Sukukaja becomes an instant dash strike, really fast, moves fairly far, and chains with itself quite well. So he's become easier to play, as well as stronger, but is given better tools for the more advanced players to make use of. Also Yu is now the sole S tier (though that may change with Marie, Margaret and Adachi's release).
