Katiel sighed and sped up slightly do that he could walk alongside Kari. He smiled at get again, this time a little weakly, trying to find some rational reason for her to trust an admittedly strange man approaching her like this. Eventually he decided to try to explain away the oddities of the situation if he could, without compromising his cover. "The glasses are because my eyes are... Different. Anyway, I really don't think you should be out alone like this. I saw some guys hanging around here who looked like they were pretty dangerous." Katiel glanced wearily into the night. He could feel eyes upon his head... Leering yellow eyes of a beast, long since past redemption. An imp, most likely- not too dangerous alone, but Katiel didn't have any weapons on his person. He could kill it, but Kari was an issue. "I know this sounds odd, but I think I know who they are. Used to know them... Long time ago, now. I think it would be better if you went home that way." Katiel motioned to a particular park exit. It led into a large open space outside a shopping centre, a small crowd of late night shoppers mingling about. It was to him a perfect spot. The imp, or imps, wouldn't risk an assault with other people around. It would cause too much of a scene. It would be safe...ish... "I understand that you probably don't trust me, but you should. I'm just trying to help, and I promise I'm not trying to trick you into something."
