Lianna's eyes slowly fluttered open, and she winced when she was faced with the bright sunlight streaming through her window. Turning around to hide from the light, she expected to see her blank wall, but instead found a dresser much unlike her's, pressed against the light cream walls which was yet again completely different from the plain white ones in her room. What is going on...? With narrowed eyes she propped herself up and got off the rather empty, plushie-lacking bed. As she stood beside the bed, Lianna observed her surroundings. Was I... kidnapped? In the middle of her pondering, an energetic voice reached her ears, "Dear, are you awake yet? Today's a big day!" THAT was a surprise. Lianna lightly scratched the back of her head, before her eyes widened for a fraction of a second and she faced towards a nearby mirror. Okay, so my appearance is still the same. Seriously, what is happening? She desperately tried to come up with other logical possibilities, but was slowly getting frustrated. Turning towards the wide-open window, Lianna peeked out to find a scenery COMPLETELY different to the one she was used to. Okay, that's it. I need to figure out where I am. Stepping out of her- the room she was in, Lianna went downstairs to be greeted with a delicious smell wafting through the air. There, she was met with a kind-looking woman who smiled upon seeing her. "Morning, sleepyhead! You excited for today?" Deciding to play along, Lianna took a seat on the kitchen table and began eating the warm breakfast, and she briefly remembered the microwaved breakfasts she had at her actual home. Focusing back on the woman's question, Lianna tilted her head and gave her a questioning look. "Oh, don't tell me you forgot! You're getting your first Pokemon today!" the woman said with a small giggle. Lianna felt her heart drop as she slowly placed her fork down. ...Pokemon...?! Quickly gulping down her glass of milk, she was about to storm out the door when the woman called out to her, "Oh my- Don't forget your backpack!" Lianna quickly grabbed the backpack the woman was holding out to her and was about to turn around when two arms held her in a gentle embrace. "I know you'll become someone great. Take care, my dearest daughter," the woman smiled, and patted her head before giving Lianna a little push. "Go on!" The foreign... loving gestures shocked her, and Lianna stood frozen for a moment, before giving a small bow of her head and jogging out of the door. Then came a prickling sensation at the corners of her eyes that she hadn't felt in the longest time ever, and she brought her hand to her cheek to feel a damp sensation... Tears...? She hastily wiped the tears away with her sleeve, and took a deep breath. Raising her head, she adjusted the backpack on her shoulders. I... really AM in Pokemon...
