Sharon held her breathe, worry that he might tell her that they weren’t okay and that he would need some time to make the choice on if they could still even chat or not. Sure, everything seemed to be going alright but the female side of her brain (the non-logical side) kept questioning things over and over again. And as much as she didn’t want to listen to it, she knew she had to ask the question; so she held her breath awaiting an answer in a mixture of hope and worry about how the situation would end. It felt like an eternity as she stared up at the gorgeous man, her heart pounding away in her chest as the palms of her hands rested gently against his muscular chest. It wasn’t until the smirk came across his lips and the nods happened that she finally relaxed, her breath being let out in a steady stream. Okay maybe holding her breath while awaiting an answer was not the best idea but sometimes it’s just what happens to a girl when she gets overly stressed out. A small nod left her in response as her lips curled into a smile. This time it was her turn to take a risk. Sharon gently leaned into the large man, her hands traveling up his chest to his shoulders to be followed by her arms that wrapped around his neck. Her deep blue eyes never left his as she softly laid her small body against his. Tilting her head to one side, she whispered softly, “I will never lie to you again Steve, I promise.” With that she placed her full soft lips against his once more, sealing that promise with a kiss.
