Marigold finished up her breakfast shift in the kitchen and hung up her apron on the hook. Carson had asked her to join as werewolf backup on today’s mission, and she was set to meet up with him in approximately 5 minutes. Mari waved a friendly goodbye to the kitchen staff that she had come to know and love in the past few weeks here at the compound. Outside, the California breeze was warm but refreshing. The way the sunlight shimmered across the land made her hippie-heart sing, and she felt the urge to go wolf and run in the forest to enjoy nature. Maybe later, she had a mission to do now as a peacekeeping, supernatural crime-fighter. It wasn’t long before Mari found Carson leaning against the SUV looking like a goth that lost his jacket two hours into high school prom. She couldn’t help but laugh a little bit at the absurdity of trying to fit in with vampire fashion. Mari herself wore a loose, flowery sundress, something that she could easily slip out of before erupting into wolf form and defending the other agents if necessary. “Well, I gotta admit, you certainly look like you could pass for a bloodsucker.” She said to Carson jokingly as she approached him. “Backup werewolf assistant reporting for duty, Captain!” she said and playfully saluted him.
