"And now we wait." Ralph said. "I'll go keep an eye out for anybody coming our way. Call me if she wakes up." He flew outside, perching near the top of one of the taller trees. He never really noticed before now, but changing into a phoenix really enhanced his eyesight. If anybody approached the cave, he'd see them. It was a good thing, too, because once the wolf's group found out she was missing, they'd probably send others to look for her. He scanned the forest, looking for anyone who might be approaching the cave. There were many creatures passing by, but thankfully none of them seemed to be getting too close. He still kept an eye on anybody that came into his field of view, though. Any one of them could be hostile, but he had no way of telling them apart from the friendly ones.
