| Identity | - Oliver Queen aka the Green Arrow | Origin & Backstory | Oliver “Ollie” Queen was the first child born to Robert and Laura Queen in the mid 1980’s. Robert was owner and CEO of Queen Industries, the nation’s third biggest technology and defense firm behind LexCorp and Wayne Enterprises. Ollie was doted upon and raised in the lap of luxury, never learning what the lower classes lived like. Hey was a spoiled, often petulant, child, treating those below his social structure with disdain. His only true friend was Tommy Merlyn, the son of his father’s business associate Malcolm. The two were inseparable from the minute they met, and around the time they were 10 gained a constant tag along when Ollie’s sister Mia was born. Nicknamed “Speedy” for how quickly she learned to crawl, walk, and talk, Mia never missed an opportunity to annoy her big brother and his friend. Still, Ollie loved her, and always stuck up for her. As time progress, Ollie did little maturing. He spent his money frivolously, dated and used beautiful women constantly, and partied continuously. Oliver developed drug and alcohol problems, and their families had no idea how to stop it. The two became so entrenched in the Star City party culture that they began dealing drugs to the cultural elite, and were incredibly successful at it. So much so that the leader of the local drug trade hired them to begin running shipments into the city on Queen’s yacht. Origin: The Island But the young men began to think they were invincible. They became brash and overconfident and began skimming money off the top of the operation, angering Star City’s drug kingpin. On a run in the pacific to meet the suppliers, the yacht was destroyed. The explosion was believed to have killed everyone on board, including Queen and Tommy. Oliver was lucky, though. He survived and washed up on a tropical island. He fought long and hard for a year by himself attempting to survive the harsh realities of the wild. The entire time he reevaluated his life, realizing what a jerk he had been throughout it. He believed he was sent to the island as a sort of purgatory to atone for his sins, and his time there was grueling. He survived on what food he could capture and kill, and over time he became an adept hunter and gatherer. After spending a year surviving on the island, Oliver learned he was no alone. On a hunt, a man jumped him and attempted to murder the lost man. Oliver had never fought a human before, but managed to kill him before he himself was killed. Taking the attacker’s bow and arrows, Oliver fled back into the wilderness. He began training himself with the weapon, remember old lessons his father had given him as a boy. But now he was also being hunted. Whoever the man worked for also now knew they were not alone, and were bent on finding Ollie. Eventually, he was captured, revealing that the island was a drug processing and shipping hub ran by the mysterious White, a woman of Asian origin. She forced Queen into servitude, essentially making him a slave on the island for almost a year. During that time, Ollie met and became close with another prisoner named Shado. They plotted and successfully escaped thanks to her spectacular fighting skills. They fled back into the wilderness, and the woman began to train Ollie in hand to hand combat. The two realized that without destroying the drug facility they would never find themselves a way to get off the island. So they trained and plotted for months before launching their attack, and in that time Ollie and Shado became intimate. He wasn't sure if it was because of the rigors of the island or if he had finally grown, but Oliver felt real love for someone outside his family for the first time. She often warned him that In the chaos and confusion brought on by their assault, Shado was killed by White in a duel, before the villain attempted to flee in her private plane. Ollie, however, avenged his friend by firing a makeshift explosive at White's escaping plane, crashing it and seemingly killing White. Oliver had defeated his enemies on the island, but in the process lost his first love and any chance of escaping his island purgatory. Return to Star City and Birth of the Green Arrow (Year 3 In UDC Chronology) Months more he languished alone until a ship happened across the island, and Ollie finally found his way home. It was not the Star City he had left behind, however. The stress of his disappearance and running a company had killed his father in the form of a massive heart attack. His company was in the process of being acquired by the Merlyn Group and his father's old friend Malcolm Merlyn. His sister was spiraling out of control in the same way he did years before. And the city itself was rotting from the inside out thanks to a rise of organized crime and an outbreak of economic poverty. Oliver's return threw the city into a frenzy. Here was their first son returned to them. Even though his old party-goer ways still weighed on his reputation, Oliver was welcomed back with open arms. Still, his time on the island and the deplorable conditions of Star City made Oliver realize he couldn't go back to the way his life was. He needed to make a difference now. His first opportunity came when he learned of a serial killer that had been targeting citizens in the poverty stricken area of The Glades. Oliver donned a green hood Shado had given him on the island and took up his father's old bow in order to hunt down the so-called Clock Killer. Their first encounter ended disastrously, however. Oliver was stabbed through the thigh, putting him out of commission for a few weeks. During that time, Oliver noticed what had happened to his family while he was gone. His mother's reckless spending had played a part in Queen Industries' problems, and his sister had started down the dangerous road he once walked. Ollie set about trying to save his family as well as his city. Once he was healed, Ollie faced the Clock Killer yet again, realizing that the murder was not only highly trained, but could also see a few seconds into the future. Knowing he could not stop him on his own, Oliver set a trap for the Clock Killer. He waited for the serial killer at the home of his next victim and engaged him. The Clock Killer taunted Ollie, saying he could not beat him. Ollie agreed with this just as the police surrounded the home, trapping both men. Oliver managed to barely escape, while the Clock Killer gave himself up. He was revealed to be a former hitman in the employ of the crime boss known only as the Count. His Vertigo Crime Family was the most powerful in the city, and the Count was responsible for the current state of the Glades. The media dubbed Oliver the "Green Arrow" after the event, and under his new vigilante moniker he decided that the only way to truly save the city was to take care of the Count. Green Arrow made a pact with Detective John Diggle in order to have a contact with the clean police of the city. The two of them first went about cleaning up the police department, exposing the corruption of the Commissioner, and forcing a change of leadership. Next, Oliver and Diggle set their sights on Vertigo. The two man team clashed with Maxie Zeus, The Ventriloquist, and the Chinese Triad on their way to find out where the Count was hiding. Oliver eventually tracked the Count down, but instead of taking him on face to face, the Green Arrow was forced to tangle with the Count's bodyguard Danny "Stonewall" Jackson. Stonewall's super strength and durability were more than Oliver could handle, and he was left beaten within an inch of his life. | Character Notes | - WIP | Powers & Abilities | - Oliver has no powers of his own, however he has trained his body to peak ability thanks to his time marooned on a dangerous island. Oliver has molded his body to be more impressive than even the greatest Olympian. He has peak human strength, endurance, speed, durability, agility, and dexterity. He is an accomplished hand-to-hand combatant, and continues his training to master his skills. His weapon of choice, however, is the bow and arrow. He is a master archer and rarely, if ever, misses. Ollie also has the significant financial and technological backings of his trust fund and Queen Industries. | How is this character different? | - Ollie is younger, and a bit less of a bleeding heart in this reality, but the biggest changes are to his rogues gallery and his supporting cast. I'm pulling from comics, Arrow, and the cartoons to create my version of Ollie. On top of that, Star City is a far more dangerous place than usually depicted, considered the "Gotham of the West" in some circles. | What is your goal with this character? | - I want to have an interesting solo character that does the Green Arrow mythos justice. | Sample Post | Oliver released the arrow from his hand and it flew through the air, singing with a slight whistle and it did. Ollie knew the arrow would find its mark, and the perp's cry of pain was proof. He slid down the fire escape, landing deftly next to the now incapacitated thug. His target attempted to back away on the palms of his hands, dragging his imobilized leg along the wet pavement. Oliver knew how to strike fear in the hearts of his enemies, but he honestly wondered if he had gone a bit far in his pursuits. This was just a kid, after all. But he was also a heavy pusher in the Glades. He was profitable, meaning he knew something about the Vertigo operation. "Where is Vertigo?" Green Arrow snarled at the young drug dealer. "I-I dunno," he stammered. "I've never met him. I've always dealt with a go between with the Triad!" The Triad were not only the gang that ran drugs into the city, they were also the ones who had fought Ollie on the island. He had been wary about going after them in case some one recognized his fighting style and bow skills. But it looked like that wasn't possible now. The Triad was his next target.

| Identity | - Diana of Themyscira/Wonder Woman | Origin & Backstory | History of the Amazons The Amazon people were created by the goddesses Hestia, Aphrodite, Artemis, Demeter, and Athena to be their champions and spread their message across the ancient world. The gods raised Themyscira from the sea, and placed their chosen people there. The island was hidden by powerful magics, and only those who were brought there were allowed to see it. Composed of all women, the Amazons were granted unusually long life by their gods and given weapons and training that made them among the best warriors in all the known world. Their wisdom and love of peace led the Amazons to be loved by not only their patron gods, but the entire pantheon of Olympus. That is, save for Ares. The God of War saw their peace loving and wise demeanor as a threat to his love of discourse and death. For centuries he has secretly plotted against the Amazons, desiring their death and the return of chaos on Earth. Being all women the Amazons would have to travel to Man's World in order to procreate. This has diluted their Gods' gifts as time has progressed, shortening their longer lifespans and dulling their abilities. This led to the Amazonians retreating from the world other than to choose a mate. Their kind continually faded into myths and legends until they were all but forgotten. Birth and Early Life Diana was born to Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons on the secret island of Themyscira. Once thought to be barren, there was a great celebration when Hippolyta's child came into the world, and the Amazons loved their new, baby princess. Diana demonstrated the ancient powers of the Amazonian people, and seemed to herald a return to greatness for Themyscira. There was more to the story of Diana's birth than they knew, though. In reality, she was not the daughter of an Amazon and a human man as was tradition, but was the daughter of the queen and the king of Olympus Zeus. Hippolyta knew the girl's parentage would put her in grave danger, so she hid the truth from everyone. Diana was raised on Themyscira and excelled in all aspects of Amazonian life. She was beautiful, a skilled warrior, and had the wisdom of the gods. She treated her people well, and she was loved in return. Her mother was sure that her secret was safe and that Diana would lead her people into a new Golden Age. But she was mistaken. Betrayal, Genocide, and Justice(Year One) Ares, the God of War and eternal enemy of the Amazons, discovered the child's true parentage and told Hera, Zeus's wife, about the affair. The vindictive Goddess declared war against the Amazons without the knowledge of Zeus. In the blink of an eye the Amazonian people, including Queen Hippolyta were turned to stone by an invading army of gorgons. The only survivor of the massacre was Diana, who slayed the monster with the Amazon weapons of legend. Now alone, hunted by the Queen of Olympus, and ignorant of her own bloodline, Diana saw only one course of action. She needed to travel to Man's World in order to find a way to save her people and get revenge against Hera. When Diana arrived on the shores of our world, she found it in chaos. Heroes and villains were clashing all over the world, and Diana quickly found that finding the answers she desired would be harder to attain than she originally thought. She quickly allied herself with some of the most powerful heroes on the Earth in order to protect Gaia from the Sta’rro invasion. Along with Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman, The Martian Manhunter, and Hawkgirl, Diana helped to successfully repel the invaders. She agreed to join these powerful new warriors when she was needed again, becoming a founding member of the Justice League. The Search for Vengeance (Year Two) She never forgot her mission, and soon the war she was looking for found her. Hera and Ares began sending monsters and assassins after Diana, but none were more cunning or deadly than the Cheetah. An Amazon who had been cursed and banished from Themyscira decades ago by Hippolyta, Cheetah had a personal vendetta against Diana she acted out in very personal and violent ways. Cheetah played mind games with Wonder Woman for months, including kidnapping some of Diana’s human friends and torturing them for no other reason than to hurt her. Eventually, Diana was able to track Cheetah down and save her friends. While interrogating the feline femme fatale, Diana learned that the only way to save her people was to defeat Hera herself. With her first clue in hand, Diana searched for a way to cross over into the realms of Olympus. Eventually, she tracked down Doctor Fate, the universe’s most powerful magic practitioner. Fate helped Diana unlock the powers she held within herself to traverse the planes of existence. Using this new found ability, Wonder Woman was able to cross over into the realms of Olympus. Hera and her allies were ready for this. Wonder Woman was trapped by Circe, Hera’s head sorceress, in a pocket dimension. Filled with horrible creatures, Diana was forced to fight her way out, reappearing on Earth. Unfortunately, this also released Eris, the god of chaos and Ares’ daughter(and technically Diana’s niece), upon the Earth. Chaos(Year Three) Year Three was dominated by Diana’s struggle against Eris. Ares’ offspring travelled around the world opening portals to dimensions filled with horrible beasts. Wonder Woman engaged the beasts of legend across the planet attempting to undo her niece’s evil. This kept Diana’s attention occupied while Ares went about putting in place his true plan. The God of War went to his mother with a list of all the mortal children Zeus had sired in the past decades, setting Hera off completely. She decreed that all the demigods must be destroyed along with their families. In her rage, Ares also convinced her that Zeus was no longer fit to rule. Agreeing with her son, Hera and Ares began a rebellion against Zeus that shook the heavens. While Diana was fighting Eris’s army of monsters, she was visited by Hermes. The Gods’ Messenger warned Diana that not only was Eris creating chaos on Earth, but also hunting down the daughters of Zeus on orders from Hera and Ares. Diana rushed to save the last remaining daughter, Cassandra Sandsmark. Once she found Cassie, she was attacked by Eris’s creation Giganta. A former archaeologist and Chaos cultist, Doris Zuel was transformed into the villain by Eris’s magic. Able to grow to gigantic sizes, Giganta did her best to destroy the young Sandsmark, but was eventually defeated by Diana and the teenage Sandsmark together. Wonder Woman realized that this girl would never be safe in Man’s World. For a time Diana had her and her mother protected at the Hall of Justice, but that would not last forever. Diana finally managed to capture Eris and forced her to take her into a back entrance of Olympus. Once there, Diana managed to force Hera to free the Amazons from their stone prisons. Unfortunately, this invasion was also the last bit of evidence Ares needed to convince the majority of the Olympic gods to over throw Zeus. Diana and the Amazons now stand with Zeus in a small army that must stand against the God of War and the tidal wave of power. | Character Notes | Allies -Hippolyta: The Queen of the Amazons and Diana’s mother. -The Justice League: Diana has allied herself with the strongest heroes on Earth. -Hermes: The messenger of the Gods, Hermes came to warn Diana about the slaughter of Zeus’s human children. -Doctor Fate: The Universe’s most prolific magician, Doctor Fate has helped Diana learn how to travel to the realms of Olympus -Helena Sandsmark: Mother of Cassie Sandsmark, daughter of Zeus and half-sister of Diana. -Cassie Sandsmark: Diana’s half-sister and daughter of Zues. Diana's Amazonian heritage also granted her incredible martial skills. She is among the most proficient warriors in the world, and is a master hand-to-hand combatant. She is also a master with all forms of bladed and throwing weapons as well as a proficient archer. Her education on Themyscira also taught her how to be a master diplomat and leader. The wisdom granted to her by the gods also makes her one of the world's best strategists. Diana also possesses a handful of weapons and armor from Themyscira that aid her in her quest. The Bracelets of Submission are indestructible bracelets that allow Diana to reflect projectile attacks, and the Lasso of Lightning allows Diana to channel Zeus’s lightning to attack her enemies. | How is this character different? | I want my version of Wonder Woman to be more similar to Thor from the Marvel Universe. She'll be traversing the lands of Greek myths and fighting monsters as well as taking care of the ones that cross over into the Earth. | What is your goal with this character? | I want to write a fun, adventure-type story with the character. I love the old epic movies, and would like to do things on that level, while also helping out with the Justice League when the time comes. | Sample Post | It was as if the universe itself had set itself against Diana. First Hera invades her island and traps her people in stone, then she finds she is the son of the Sky father Zeus, and now she and her Amazon sisters are one of the few groups on the side of Zeus in an oncoming war. On top of all that she now had a half-sister to take care of and train in the ways of Amazon warfare. Then came the problem with her mother lying about her lineage. Diana not knowing about the fact her father was Zeus had put her in mortal danger her entire life. Being in the shadows of that truth did her no favors in preparing for this conflict. "You look troubled, Diana," Hermes said. The two had been going over the war map of the Realms of Olympus for the past few hours attempting to find somewhere they could press an advantage. So far they had little luck. "Do you not blame me, Messenger?" the princess asked. "We have no chance to win this war." "Many have said the same," he responded with a smile. "The 300 of Sparta had no chance of victory, but they fought anyway. And in the end, their sacrifice could have been considered a victory." "I doubt the 300 would have agreed with you," Diana returned his grin. The Messenger of the Gods was saying what she had been thinking. She and the other Amazons would most likely die in the coming battles, but they would fight them none the less. It was their nature to stand up against tyrants like Ares. "But your right. Now all we need is to find the right place to make our first move." "Princess," Hermes grinned pointing to the map, "what of Atlantis?"
