Peter listened, and now understood what she was getting at. She seemed to enjoy the fact that Peter was now clueless in something, because she couldn't get that small hint of a smile off her face as she spoke about it. She pulled up to her house, and turned to face him, asking the question. It didn't take long for Peter to get an answer out of his mouth. "I didn't know what I was expecting. You talked about Spider-Man as if you idolized him, which was true I guess... I didn't expect to kiss you. I wasn't hoping that you would kiss Spider-Man... It happened. I wasn't going to take advantage of your, or lead you on." He paused. "Okay, I might have the second encounter. But that's when I knew I had to tell you." He unbuckled himself, and put his forehead on hers. "So no, I did not expect a hero's reward that night... But to be honest, I'm glad I did, especially and only for you." Peter said softly, giving a smile. He wasn't here to take advantage of Lexi. he wasn't there to claim her for his own. He was just the dorky kid who somehow fell in love with his best friend, who also happened to be out of his league. He loved her more than he could ever love a person.
