At first Flynn seemed to hesitate. His way of sighing and turning his head made her nervous as well. “I can tell you feel uncomfortable.” Alyson then added. After he took another deep sigh he sat up and started to tell her about the message he got when they first had left Aeros. His voice wasn’t steady when he was talking and once he came to the conclusion he looked up at her. The way he stared at her, waiting for her response, made Alyson’s heart skip a beat. He seemed to sad and insecure. “Okay well..” She started out, searching in her mind for the right words. “First of al, how did that guy know I was alive and in your ship. It seems highly unlikely that they searched the rubble of my basement right away to find no body at all, right?” She nodded at Flynn, checking if he was following her. 

“And he will send out someone or something to find us through the software of this ship, right? Well then, why don’t we just cut the stops of our trip in half, even less, and try to get to my hide-out as fast as possible. There, I got a back-up ship. It’s not much, but it was one of my first ones and runs really smooth.” She slowly started to smile, giving Flynn the impression she was not scared at all. But deep inside she was frightened the guy would find them, hurt Flynn and kill her. She has had too much bad luck to not fight for this spark of hope. “And we run away. Together.” She then added, taking his hand into hers. “I’m used to danger. But it took one bounty hunter 4 years to find me on Aeros. I am fine with moving every 3 to 4 years, you know.” Alyson now smiled. 

“But if you are not certain you want this..” She motioned towards her face, and then letting her fingers linger slightly towards the rest of her body. “Then do tell me, and I will run away alone.” The last few words had grown cold and the smile already had faded from her face. He might be lying to her, or even keeping important information hidden, so she decided to keep what she felt to herself, until she knew for sure he wanted to be with her as well. 

True, they only met slightly more than two days ago. And true, they quickly got to know each other thanks to several difficult circumstances. But Alyson knew she liked Flynn. Not like any other boyfriend she has had in the past. She just dated them to not be alone all the time. But with Flynn it was different.
