It had been a hard year, and information had arrived that Baron Kovelch had been using his wealth to amass an army and begun setting it upon the villages on the outskirts of the kingdom. But there had been a prophecy. At their darkest hours, six young men and women from a place far away would come to save them all. There was a hush as everyone present held their breath until a bright flash of light lit up the square.[/i][/center]

[center][i]When it faded, four teenage boys and two girls stood on the cobble street that had been bare a moment before, all looking very confused.[/i][/center]

[center]Okay, so the kingdom our characters have been sent to revolves around the use of technology as a form of status. Basically, the harder you try, to more comfortably and easily you get to live. Some use their wealth and advantage to exponentially increase their treasure, buying robotic slaves to mine or farm for them, selling the crops afterward and using the profits to buy even more robots. Of course, there is a limit to how advanced the kingdom's scientists can get things, and about the best thing money can buy is a large anatomical dragon that has been popular recently among the richer nobles who use it to guard their homes. Of course, there are plenty of things magic can do that machines can't, such as healing, setting defensive spells, and, of course, curses, so the mages, clerics, and sorcerers still play an important role in society. One cleric in particular prophesied when the kingdom was first built about six heroes who would receive extraordinary power upon entering this world. I think you know who I'm talking about.[/center][/hider]

[hider=Rules][center][*]Everyone's already accepted, but that doesn't mean I'll be fine with absolutely anything you come up with. If something in your form doesn't go along with the rules of story, I'll ask you to change it, and if you don't/can't I'll either ask you to make a different character or I'll go ask a friend to fill the role. I won't be putting up all the character classes' abilities and strengths until everyone has their form up, so I can try to suit them to their personalities, but if you need to know just sort of what they can do or anything else about the roleplay, I'll be happy to tell you.[/*]

[i][center]I will be playing a talking cat, the head mage's familiar, to lead the heroes on their quest, along with the Baron and a few other NPCs. Throughout the roleplay the Baron's army will be growing closer and closer, and there WILL be a final boss. (It's hinted at in this post; see if you can find it, but don't post it here.) Over time, if you put in the effort, I will give your characters' powers upgrades, which you can paste into your form. Eventually, you'll be stronger than the Baron and whatever he has waiting...hopefully.[/center][/i]
