Actually, contrary to popular belief

Radiation doesn't work that way

I mean, if we're being realistic

which this is an RP so we probably aren't

But what radiation essentially does to a person is ping pong photons off their atoms

This fucks with their electrons

and if you know anything about chemistry, shit gets real when you fuck with electrons

it can actually turn your h20 molecules into peroxide molecules

and peroxide is bad

this kills the cells

so you don't really melt

you just kind of die cell by cell

if the radiation is bad enough, billions upon billions of cells die at once

and you get those burns and shit

and then you get radiation sickness

and then you die.
