Michael simply stood by and listened to Mithias and the voice speak to one another, processing everything that's being said. He began creating theories of how this person ended up in the cavern and why they were down so far below in the first place. More importantly, he wondered why the others were here. Mithias was searching for a home. Creed and Kevin..well, he assumed it was an adventure to them. Kishin...well, he assumed it was curiosity that brought him here.
