I soon met the man who commissioned my creation and he offered to fine-tune my powers. That was how I ended up wearing that accursed armour. He tested my capabilities against several challengers and after you came along and gave me my first defeat, I realised during your friend's challenge that Giovanni only wanted me for my power. I bailed and found a spot in the cave near the place you call Cerulean City. I will not recount what took place, but after I parted ways from you I went soul searching. I read many minds in passing—both human and Pokémon—and discovered for the most part that your friend and my progenitor were both right.[/i]

"I would be honoured to help you," replied Shiranui as he got his Master Ball out and tapped Mewtwo with it. Mewtwo was drawn in and the ball pinged shut. "I will call you Saisei," he said before finding two marble-like stones that Mewtwo had with him—two versions of Mewtwonite.
