HNNNNG. Just when I thought I was through with O.H.F. you had to drag me back in Stryder you magnificent bastard! Welcome back to the guild by the way, i'd noticed your return, but never got around to it because i'm admittedly a lazy fucker sometimes. The same sort of applies with my lack of posting in the original O.H.F., though the other part was that I didn't feel as though I could properly reintegrate into the RP and keep things fluid, hence my dropping it. Apologies to everyone who was involved for not saying anything about that before. Well, now that there's a fresh start, I think i'll reintroduce the prince of voodoo himself with a few alterations, and quite being such a wordy bastard. Name: Jacque La Croix Age: 25 Gender: Male Species: Possessed Human (he still has control over his body, the spirit simply provides him with power and advice, though it can take over if necessary) Alignment: Chaotic Good Position: Shaman/Sorcerer Power: Due to his possession, Jacque boasts mastery over the arts of black, healing, and blood magic on par with that of a sorcerer well over twice his age. Weapon: A cane sword, SIG P226, and a small bag filled with miscellaneous items that he can use in spells (i.e. plant seeds, small clay figures, and potions) Personality: Jacque can be a tad bit rough around the edges sometimes, he's a rather detached fellow that tends to speak in a blunt and crude manner, more often than not refusing to sugar coat the truth regardless of what others might want to hear. Funnily enough as far as mannerisms go, Jacque behaves more or less like a gentleman most of the time, which often leads to quite a bit of shock from the people unfamiliar to him when he actually starts talking. He has a habit of having seemingly one sided conversations with his pet sumatran short-tailed python Coal. Backstory: Originally a poor kid growing up in rural louisiana, Jacque spent most of his days caring for his ill mother, a woman who had at one point, been a highly accredited fortune teller and witch doctor among the more superstitious folk before she'd become sick. Jacque did whatever he could to care for his mother, doing things that ranged from taking small jobs here and there, to looting stores and working as a drug runner to pay for her medicine. Whenever Jacque's mother found the strength, she would sit her son down and teach him the things she had learned about voodoo from her own mother. Eventually Jacque's mother took a turn for the worst, and with medicine becoming too expensive for Jacque to pay for, he turned to what his mother had taught him in desperation. As it turned out, a few of the spirits where willing to listen to his plea, one loa in particular appeared before him claiming to be the son of the great Baron Samedi, it warned him of the dangers to come not only on earth, but to everything in creation. When Jacque inquired as to why he was told this, the loa stated that it wanted to bring balance, but was incapable of completely leaving it's own realm for more than a few moments without a vessel. A deal was then struck, the loa cured Jacque's mother, and in return, received a body that would allow it to achieve its goal. The two have been bonded for nearly a decade now, having travelled the world doing what they can to restore order to the universe.
