Veili continued to meet the Headmaster’s stare for a few more moments before he finally averted his gaze and frowned. Rubbing the back of his neck was about the only sign he’d give, but he realized he’d gone too far. It was like the Headmaster said, he was in no position to be determining exactly what was too much for others. And it was also true that he had been given a special privilege amongst the student body. There wasn’t anything to gain by continuing this pointless, and frankly unwinnable, argument with the Headmaster. He was in the wrong, even if he thought he shouldn’t be, and admitted as such. Or at least he tried to, but people seemed to be a fan of interrupting him in the midst of things today. ‘Huh...’ was the first brilliant thing to come to mind as Veili took in the newcomer with a raised eyebrow. It was for the first time that he could quite confidently think that, whoever it was, looked just as much as a delinquent as he did. Appearance aside, he didn’t quite like the smile she had on her face, especially since it seemed like it was directed at him. Yet Veili was never someone who backed down easily, and simply shot her an annoyed look before muttering, “None of your business.” Figuring that was enough to get the point across, he turned back to the Headmaster and lowered his head just slightly. “I’m sorry then for breaking the rules, it won’t happen again” he said firmly, as he kept up the slight bow. And he truly had no intentions of doing so during the school year, today had simply been a rush job that he perhaps shouldn’t have taken seeing all the trouble it had brought him. Now, please, just let this end.
