Ace was bearing down on his target only to find, moments before land, it was a decoy. Upon touch down where the figure once was he found himself with a knife point in his back and are subdued. "You lose." All at once the fog fell away making the room clear again and Aces missing deck lay a little ways off. After being released Ace turned and faced his opponent and illusive friend who continued to speak. “You did well, given the situation though I was sitting right there.” Ace followed Spellthief's gesture to where he was sitting as Ace made a fool of himself falling for such a simple trick. Ace was about to ask something but Spellthief had not finished and continued in a less playful tone. “Name’s Spellthief. As you well know, not many members of the Sentinels talk to me and fewer know I exist or they forgot. I’ll be talking to SH soon about what I’ve just learned.” Ace nodded half understanding and half nervous. 'This was a test?' he thought to himself. Thinking it was safe to ask his questions Ace tried again, but was stopped by Spellthief's gesture to just listen for the time being. Ace crossed his arms slightly annoyed, but continued to listen to what Spellthief had to say. “Instead of being frontlines and the face of the group like the others, more than likely you’ll be working with me and some others behind the scenes as a recon member so…” While Spellthief was in mid sentence the ground quaked and shortly there after an alarm started. Ace's heart began to speed up as he with anticipation as Spellthief made his remark and disappeared. Ace acted quickly to follow Spellthief and charged his body as he ran, soon catching up with his companion. Upon arriving at the area where the fighting had taken place Ace was taken aback by what he saw If only for a moment before the room was filled with fog like in the gym, but this fog was much denser than last time. Ace could only ready his deck and listen very carefully for anything that might signal a struggle or something else to attack. Try as he might Ace could hear nothing more than a weak whisper somewhere out in the midst of the fog. Just as he was able to narrow down the area it was coming from Spellthief was once again beside him and the fog dropped away as Spellthief told Ace they were no longer needed. Ace raised an eyebrow as he looked from Spellthief to the figure in the room then followed after Spellthief. "what was all that about?" Ace asked sternly. First time he thought he might be able to show his skill in a real battle and Spellthief just threw up some smoke, did God knows what then said 'we are no longer needed.' that doesn't work for me. Ace thought to himself. "and who was that?"
