In the extended state it is used like a whip and if used right can be wound around a target. She can control which segments unlock and lock together with her semblance and she can also control the movement of the whip up to a degree with it.

She can conduct this through her weapon or other conductive material and whoever gets hit by it gets shocked. She can also course the electricity through her own body almost doubling her reaction time, this uses a lot of energy and always leaves her sore afterwards.
