I was thinking those who 'survive' the attack against the aliens rendezvous back at Nature's Haven, and from there travel to one of the cities to hone our abilities. Play-battles against ourselves, maybe team up against bandits (cuz the cities are quite corrupt, the people have nothing.) Eventually working our way to when we feel comfortable with even facing the Vygorns, and stuff...
