I've been thinking

where the hell does the city get enough food to feed all of its people

so I thought that maybe Omar, Isam's friend mentioned in my very first post, could be something of an agriculturist.

Maybe Isam's group managed to keep a few goats or chickens or whatever alive by the time they got to the city, and had bred enough to make a nice little farm back there in their corner

Plus whatever animals are running around, deer and such, could probably be domesticated
