Stepping into the Rukongai Kenta took one last look back at the Senkaimon he just stepped through. Tae had opened it after he gave his goodbye to her and Minori. After his sister was sent here to the Soul Society Tae wanted him to spend a few more weeks training. Within those weeks he had gotten better at Kido and Kaido, not to mention could use his other skills on a higher level than before which he didn’t think was possible. Looking around he then eyed the Seireitei, “Three months huh?” Kenta knew he wouldn’t be able to go back, not after all the rules he had broken. Of course they probably wouldn’t have known about most of them, or all of them if they were completely oblivious. But he wouldn’t feel right knowing he was lying to them all. Besides, he had his sister he needed to find. As people were assigned a number to a part of the Soul Society from when they died, Tae gave him a few ideas as to where to look so he had a good idea. So he set off. Once in the first district Tae suggested, he walked on a bit looking around until he heard yelling. He immediately shot off into an alley stopping upon the sight. A man in a mask was pushing people into a door with a ghostly figure beside him. The man turned around looking at Kenta, “First Squad ten interrupting and destroying my lab, now this. Carry on your way Soul, or you’ll be joining them.” Kenta eyed the two before slowly drawing his Zanpakuto, “I was wondering why things were quiet, but it looks like Hikari had a run in with you guys as well so the Gotei 13 must be aware of you guys whatever you’re doing. Well, looks like I can ease up the work a bit.” “Tch, Akuma!” The man said as he pushed the rest of the people inside and ran after them. The black ghostly figure then put his hand on the wall, “Yes master Tenchi.” Next the walls of the two buildings began shooting towards each other to try and crush Kenta. Kenta just spat and threw his arms out causing the walls to crush and crumble. He ran to the door which soon disappeared, though Kenta threw a punch punching a hole in the wall. Once he stepped inside he noticed marking surrounding him, “Best not to take another step,” Tenchi said as he snatched a piece of clothing from the group of people and threw it past the marking, “Completely obliterates what goes through.” The clothing doing just that as it passed through the markings. “Hado #63 Raikōhō,” Kenta finished mumbling as he fired off the Hado that seemingly passed through the markings and hit a wall. “What!? How!?” Tenchi yelled. Kenta just smirked; he was using the Kōjutsu Eishō technique when Tenchi told him not to take another step. He was charging it up before his movements were restricted, and Tenchi telling him how the markings worked just proved something. If it had enough power then it wouldn’t be completely obliterated, it just absorbed Reishi and Spirit Energy as it had taken down half of the Raikōhō even with the Kōjutsu Eishō technique. Though Kenta wasn’t going to explain that to Tenchi, as he figured out by a coincidence and wasn’t going to help the enemy out by telling their weakness. Instead Kenta just raised his Spirit Energy and dashed through the markings noticing the amount of Spirit Energy the markings absorbed, but he had plenty more. “Kenta!” He heard a familiar voice, his eyes widened as he saw Keina! “Akuma, get us out of here!” Tenchi said as Kenta shot towards them. Akuma placed his hand on the ground causing them to drop down that hole, Kenta was about to jump down though it closed causing him to just land on his feet with a crouch. Kenta then punched the ground, continuing to do so until he formed a large crater. “Fuck…They’re gone…But they probably didn’t go underground anyways.” I guess it’s time to visit an old friend, Kenta thought as he made his way off. --- It wasn’t really a method Kenta would talk about, but he managed to get his way inside the Seireitei. Sitting in the Lieutenant office of Squad Ten he watched as the door pushed open. Once inside Hikari and Kenta just stared at each other before Kenta stood up. Kenta pushed his hands in his pocket walking up to Hikari, “Good to see you again, buddy.” Kenta said with a small smile as he put a hand on Hikari’s shoulder. Hikari did the same, though on the opposite shoulder holding a smile, “Good to see that you’re better…Though I’d assume you would go see Rio first, did you not?” Kenta sighed as he backed up letting his hand drop, “It’s not the right time…But I will visit her within time. But I’ve come to ask about something.” “I see….So what of?” Hikari asked. “I ran into some trouble back in one of the districts, they claimed you had destroyed their lab,” That caused Hikari’s eyes to widen slightly, “They managed to get away, a man in a hollow looking mask with horns named Tenchi. The other a black ghostly figure with claws and three red eyes named Akuma, able to transform and control the terrain. I assume able to create barriers that absorbs Reishi and Spirit Energy, although not completely if there’s allot of it. I’m not certain if it was Akuma or Tenchi who casted the technique, but I assume Akuma since he seemed to be under the control of Tenchi and was the only one who displayed any form of ability in front of me. They also had a group of Souls, my sister included.” “Your si-“Hikari stopped himself knowing Kenta would explain later, and for the fact that he knew Kenta wanted to get straight to it. Not to mention he himself knew what they were doing causing him to sigh, “These guys are taking souls and fusing them with Hollows, chances are that that’s what they’re trying to do with that group of souls. Though through information I’ve gathered the process takes a few days before the Hollows and souls are fused, and since I wiped out their Hollow supply they won’t be doing anything soon. Of course, I’ve informed a few Squads about the incident so that they can look out in their respective districts. But since Squad ten handles large operations I think we’re enough to handle the situation, though they haven’t been that big of a threat but it’s best to keep careful just in case. I know a few of their hideout locations so I can provide you with those and whatever else you may need.” “….Thank you, Hikari.” After exchanging information, and Hikari offering back up that Kenta denied, Kenta headed towards the door. Hikari would usually keep information like that to just his Squad and the Seireitei, but he knew Kenta would get stuff done especially with his sister at risk. Plus it’d allow him more time to investigate another part of the group while Kenta handled another side which would overall bring this whole thing to an end quicker all together. Once Kenta was halfway out the door he looked back, “Oh, and Hikari?” “Yeah?” “…I’m sorry for how I acted back then, to you and Rio. There was no way in hell you could have known.” “Don’t worry about it; we know you truly didn’t mean it,” Hikari said with a smile causing Kenta to smile which soon faded. “…And about Kaizo?” “He’s back, Captain of Squad Two actually. Rio being his Lieutenant, he actually came back during the attack on the Seireitei three months ago.” Kenta let out a breath with another smile spreading across his face, “Good, atleast she wasn’t lonely when I left.” Kenta then left the room shutting the door behind him. Kenta walked past Tabo, giving slight nods as they walked past each other but didn’t talk. --- Kenta had made his way out of the Seireitei and knew what his next destination would be. He wasn’t headed straight to one of the hideouts but to see a few old friends, all he needed was to follow a trail of destruction. A place where there were allot of criminals. He soon found the place. Souls sprawled out bleeding with their weapons lying across the ground. A single man standing at six’ two stood in the middle of them with a bloody cleaver sword. “Huh, long time no see Deuce,” Kenta said, “Haven’t seen you since you, Leon, and Rose backed out of the academy.” The one called Deuce just simply turned to Kenta while breathing heavily, his eyes red and the tattoo on his neck glowing red. He gave a chuckle before running to Kenta and swinging downwards having his spirit energy aid him. Kenta jumped backwards letting Deuce hit the ground creating a large crack in the earth with dust flying everywhere. “Get away from him bastard!” He heard a girl voice say. Kenta quickly stepped to the right and pushed his left arm out grabbing the leg that almost kicked his head. He then threw her forward and quickly unsheathed his blade pointing the tip of the blade towards where the girl was flying and used Gaki Rekkō causing the green beams of light to fly at her, though he didn’t use it at full power. Once Deuce charged him again Kenta simply pointed on his metal fingers at him, “Bakudo #61 Rikujōkōrō,” Kenta commanded as Deuce was then trapped in the beams of light. He began shaking trying to break the beams of light, almost succeeding if it weren’t for Kenta holding his hand out then clenching it, “Bakudo #63 Sajō Sabaku.” Chains then wrapped around Deuce restraining him further. Kenta walked closer to Deuce but was stopped when the girl came back jumping in front of him and throwing multiple fast kicks. The attack took Kenta by surprise as he got hit by all of them and skid back; he spat out blood but was otherwise ok. “Who the fuck are you and what are you trying to do with Deuce!?” “Trying to help him. Rise from hell, Hide Ryuu!” Kenta activated his Shikai in gauntlet form. “Tanma Otoshi!” Were the last words the girl heard before she fell unconscious and slumped forward into Kenta’s arm. Kenta tossed her over his shoulder and put focus back on Deuce whom snapped out of both of the Bakudo mostly by raising his energy sky high and causing a slight shockwave though Kenta kept his balance. Once Deuce charged Kenta again this time Kenta just grabbed Deuce’s neck and slammed him into the ground hard. A bit of Ash shot out of his glove which caused Deuce’s eyes turn back blue and his tattoo to turn black again. Deuce then passed out. Kenta tossed him over his shoulder too then looked up onto a roof at someone who was just chilling, “So why didn’t you help them, Leon?” Kenta asked. “Because Rose needs a lesson in not being rash,” Leon said to Kenta before turning around on his side and closing his eyes, “Besides, what’s the point in getting into a meaningless fight? I know it was you, Kenta. No one else has that emotional like Spirit Energy.” --- “No way! That’s you Kenta!?” Rose asked, her red eyes analyzing him, “I didn’t even notice!” They were now in a house that was rather well hidden. “What was it? The hair? The metal arms? The depressed and tired expression?” Kenta asked. “The everything most likely,” Deuce said with a smirk, “So, why did you come looking for us? Wasn’t your whole dream thing to stay in the Seireitei and protect or whatever?” “Well that’s out of the question now, considering I’ve broken a few of the rules,” Kenta said looking between them but mainly at Deuce, “Used forbidden Kido and stayed in the human world for about three months, of course they don’t know that for sure, but I know it. But the reason I came looking is because I need help, and you guys are the best I got.” “I always thought you were the lone wolf type, the one who could do everything by himself.” “Well, I’ve changed since those days. I can do allot on my own, and probably this if I was forced to do it alone. But I know it’s not always best to do things alone.” “And do we get anything in return?” Deuce asked raising an eyebrow, “Besides a re-kindled friendship. I mean we’ll help you with whatever, but is there atleast a prize?” “Deuce you get to fight, but you probably won’t have to kill. I can stop your wrathful self,” Kenta told him. The wrathful side of Deuce being apart of his Shikai which was stuck in release state, if he didn’t get enough blood on his blade then he would enter a mental breakdown and go on a killing rampage in order to turn back to normal. That was the reason Deuce decided to leave before it was known he could go unstable, something that would give him Detention. Rose and Leon decided to leave with him, as he and Kenta were really the only people they liked. So when he had the urge to kill he’d go after criminals, ease up the work for the Gotei 13 while keeping himself sane. Though it wasn’t like Deuce enjoyed killing, he mostly enjoyed brawls where all parties enjoyed fights. He didn’t like it when he was forced to, only when he wanted to. “Rose, your favorite thing is Kan…So that’s simple enough to get,” Kenta told her and they nodded to each other. Kenta then looked at Leon, “Leon you-“ “As long as I can sleep afterwards, then I don’t give a shit,” Leon said as he lay with his back towards the group waving a hand. He let his arm drop and closed his eyes. “So that settles it, I’ll inform you of the situation now. We’ll move out tonight.”
