Ming is the peaceful person who would rather communicate with people rather than solve his issues with his fists. He was taken in by the monks of the air nation at a young age and has studied with them as he grew up so that he could one day become an airbending master and obtain his tattoos. He has even shaven his head so that he could feel closer to the wind but kept a long ponytail so that he could keep his individuality from the other airbenders who lived at the monastery. Ming is the kind of person who enjoys meeting new people and would love to become friends with every nation but knows that while the Phoenix kingdom stands that cannot happen with the oppression that happens in the world.
 

Traits
[indent]Ming at even a young age showed promises of being an airbending master and has only gotten better as the years have progressed. He is able of advanced airbending techniques as creating a tornado by himself as well as surrounding himself in a bubble of air allowing him to deflect projectiles for a short amount of time. His almost reached enlightenment once before but at his age as he is still unable to let go of all his worldly self completely which is why he left the monastery to travel the world.[/indent]

History
[indent]Ming was abandoned at the Eastern Air Temple when he was still an infant and the monks there raised him as an orphan until he showed signs of being an airbender when he was still young. After he was found to be an airbender he was completely taken into the order and taught the ways of what it meant to be an airbender and how to find inner peace through meditation. He was also taught their history and about the split in the air nation after the Phoenix Kingdom took over and how those that remained in the fire nation had lost their way for them to truly call themselves airbenders. When he was still at a young age he had learned from all the high level airbending masters who had taught him how to feel the intentions of the air and how to find peace in the wind. At the age of eleven he had been favored to get his tattoos and even demonstrated the skills necessary to getting the tattoos but the one thing that was found out about him was that no matter how much he meditated he was unable to feel the spirits or truly find his own inner peace. He spent the next few years just mopping around as he was upset that he had not earned his tattoos and didn't feel like trying again anytime soon to find enlightenment anytime soon until Master Ling Bae instilled the fire back in him to find enlightenment when he suggested that Ming take a journey around the world and travel to all the air temples. 

At the age of fifteen Ming set out on his journey to explore the world and this is where he saw what it was really like outside of the isolated monastery. The first place he traveled was straight across the world to the fire nation where the other airbenders resisted and spend a few months there which made him disgusted at how different these airbenders lived compared to how it was in the Eastern Air temple with them only living on the essentials while these people lived with more than the really needed, He also wandered around the Earth Kingdom for a while where he even met some of the Rising and had even tried to be recruited to them at multiple times in his travels which he had to decline as he did not want to get involved with fighting. It was also during this time that he noticed the hardships that many people had under the rule of the Phoenix Kingdom and how corrupt that the world actually was outside of the temple with the Kingdom at the center of it. He soon resolved that as long as the Phoenix Kingdom stood he would not be able to find his enlightenment and made a resolve to see the Kingdom become less oppressive or even return the world to everyone being its own nation but he did not agree with the way the Rising was going about it and still refused to join their organization.[/indent]
