Karah started packing her duffel bag without saying a word. Miles grabbed his book bag and stood near the door, waiting whenever she was ready to go. She then led Miles out the door. She grabbed his hand and his fears calmed a little bit. She looked in his eyes and asked him if they should continue. Miles nodded silently. It was now or never. He looked around, the campus was quiet and seemed deserted. They started to jog towards the bus stop. They would slow down when they reached a building and would slow down to look around before continuing onwards. For the first few minutes all was going well. Miles' hopes began to raise and he squeezed Karah's hand and smiled slightly. Suddenly a noise from behind caught their attention. Miles stopped in his tracks and turned around slowly. His heart sank as he saw Jimmy slowly advancing towards them. He had that same creepy expression that he had back in the dorm. "Run." He said hastily to Karah as he began to pull her away from Jimmy. They ran for a few minutes. Miles looked over his shoulder. Jimmy was nowhere is sight. "There." Miles said, pointing to the campus security housing. Their pace quickened as that seemed like a good place to rest and regroup. As they were about to pass the last building standing between them and campus security, Diamond stepped out in front of them. "Shit!" Miles exclaimed skidding to a halt and pulling Karah down to the ground. He quickly recovered and pulled Karah behind him. "Keep going." Miles commanded Karah as he stood up and puffed out his chest at Diamond. "Listen here you crazy bitch." Miles started walking towards Diamond. "I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but I am not afraid to stab a woman." He pulled the knife from his waistband and pointed it at Diamond. Diamond walked slowly towards Miles smiling seductively. She put her hands up as she started to speak. "Oh no. I wouldn't want a young strapping lad like you to hurt a little ole thing like me." Miles felt the cloudy feeling rise back in his head. He felt his hand get heavy as his arm slowly dropped. Diamond circled Miles running her finger around his neck. "Such a strong young man. You really should be with a real woman." As she walked behind Miles she leaned in to whisper something in his ear. Before she could say anything Karah slammed Diamond down with her duffel bag. "He's mine!" Karah screamed at Diamond. Miles stared down at Diamond then at Karah. If they weren't in life-threading danger, Miles would have been turned on a bit. Karah pulled at Miles' arm. "Come on!" She yelled at him. The haze began to lift from his mind as he followed Karah to the campus security building. As they neared the door opened and a man waved and yelled at them both. "Come on!" Miles and Karah sprinted the last few yards and collapsed inside as the strange man shut the door behind them. "We should be safe in here." The man said, back braced on the door. "For now."
