That's 2,500 degrees fahrenheit. Anyone without superhuman resistance to heat is going to get burned/boiled alive before they even make it close enough to hit him with their sword, so whether or not the sword will do damage is a moot point. Even Arty, who DOES have a superhuman resistance to heat, would be hard-pressed to stay in melee range for more than a few posts without getting burned. And that's just [i]staying in range[/i], without any attempts to attack made by your character.

In a high-tier fight, that would be fine, but for the level of fighters involved here, having a character so hot they can passively melt steel when it gets close to them is a no-go.
