Miles laid in the bed for what felt like hours before falling into a light sleep. Suddenly he felt someone next to him. His eyes opened with fear, still not adjusted to the dim lighting. Before his eyes could adjust, his nose caught a familiar calming smell, it was Karah. His eyes adjusted and confirmed what his nose has told him. He smiled slightly as she lightly kissed his neck. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. For a moment, he forget the events of the past few hours. Then it all came flooding back to him. He kissed her forehead slightly as he stretched awake. Karah looked up at him through sleepy eyes. "Come on babe. Let's check on our new friend." Miles says as he gets up from the bed. He looks around, but Van is nowhere in sight. They begin to walk to the front of the building. Miles grabs Karah's hand as they reach the front door. Miles feels a slight pang of fear as he sees Van laying, sitting up, against the door. "Hey, uh, Van." Miles says reluctantly touching his shoulder. "Oh, my hair." Van snorts, jerking himself awake. "Jesus Christ!" Miles jumped back. "You're still alive!" Van stretched as he stood up. He yawned and put his hand out towards Karah. "Karah I assume?" Van asked. "Miles wouldn't shut up about you." Van grinned. With that Van caught Karah up on what he thought was going on. "The fact that these drawings of protection worked to keep us safe. I would think my theory is correct. Now, it's daytime. So, demon activity should be at a minimum. Doesn't mean we're all in the clear though. It just means if there are any actual demons around, we aren't going to be bothered. The possessed people will still be active. They'll be dangerous, but they won't have any powers or anything. So if you can outrun them, or injure them, you're good."
